Sehat Kahani is a consistent, timely, and precise telehealth service in Pakistan that is working to fulfill its two most incredible goals.
Firstly, it is making high-quality medical assistance accessible to every corner of Pakistan. This service is releasing our fellow Pakistanis from the hurdles of time and location. Now people all over the nation can directly book and consult professional doctors and other medical staff.
Secondly, this platform is enabling out-of-work female health care professionals to pursue their careers without any traditional or social setbacks. Although females occupy a significant proportion of total health care staff - 70% according to the Medical Council of Pakistan, there is still a dilemma that only half of them pursue their professional careers after marriage or having children. Sehat Kahani is providing them a platform where they can showcase their skills and abilities, even working remotely.
We are all in with the narrative that proper health care is the basic right of each Pakistani, and just because a majority can not make it on time to the tertiary care units does not mean that they should compromise their health.
Therefore the goal is to provide a wide range of medical assistance from diagnosis to treatment via ‘telemedicine’ and ‘video-communication’. Thus people from all over the nation would get the chance to get high-quality patient care, and female health workers will also be able to fulfill their professional obligations.
